AI Chatbot Project Built During Internship

The Challenge

Priya joined Coding Now – Gurukul of AI's AI & Machine Learning program wanting hands-on proof of her skills, not just certificates. She wanted a capstone project that could actually be used by a real business, not a toy demo that would sit unused after the course ended.

The Program

Through the AI & Machine Learning track, Priya learned NLP fundamentals, intent classification, and how to wire a trained model into a working chat interface. For her capstone, she chose to build a customer-support chatbot — trained on real FAQ and support-ticket style data — designed to handle common queries automatically.

The Outcome

A local business trialled Priya's chatbot as a working prototype for handling customer queries. The trial went well enough that the business brought her on as a paid intern to keep refining and maintaining it — turning a classroom capstone project directly into a real internship offer.
